This begins with my purchase of a home in the original town that I grew up. The house was located right in between my parents house and Steve's parents house. (Steve is the other pathetic guy.) Shortly thereafter, Steve calls me from California, where was living at the time. In a pathetic and distressed tone he manages to say in between long sighs of self-pity, "Hank, my wife just kicked me out and i have no place to live." At that very same time my own engagement was in the process of being dissolved. I told Steve to get his pathetic self out here to Iowa and we would help each other through this ordeal and repair our lives together.

This is how the whole 2pathetic thing became an idea. Steve called us 2patheticguys.com as a joke. Single, unemployed, pathetic! Back living in between our parents. We ran to Best Buy and bought all sorts of gadgets in order to install a home cam in house. We were getting anywhere from 500 - 1500 hits daily from curious people all over the country and around the world who wondered about what 2pathetic guys actually do.

As this evolved I began selling the pathetic Logo on merchandise. I also began adding characters to my family. Stinky John, Crazy Lady, moms, dads...etc. There is a story behind all the characters.
